Pat Coxen
Pat joined Cornerstone as CEO in January 2023. He started his career in the British Army, serving for 15 years in the Royal Signals in Telecommunications and Cyber Security and the Royal Engineers in various roles.
Prior to his current role as CEO of Cornerstone, Pat Coxen served as the Managing Director of Strategy and Transformation at BT where he oversaw 24 million customers and a revenue base of over £10 billion. His responsibilities encompassed a broad spectrum, including mobile network strategy, infrastructure development, brand transformation, marketing, national operations, and customer service. His tenure at MBNL laid the groundwork for his subsequent role where he led the joint venture for digital infrastructure between Three UK and EE.
As CEO of Cornerstone his mission is to build the country’s leading digital infrastructure partner of choice, bringing his retail and customer-centric approach to transform delivery services and capabilities. With a portfolio boasting over 20,000 sites across the country, his focus extends beyond managing mobile customers to driving delivery transformation and capturing new opportunities in emerging technologies such as IOT, Edge computing and data services. His discussions with hyperscalers underscores his commitment to staying at the forefront of tech and innovation, harnessing some new partnerships, but he’s staying tight lipped about those when asked.
DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY AND ESTATES AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Belinda Fawcett
Belinda joined Cornerstone in January 2015 as Director of Property and Estates, General Counsel and Company Secretary. From 31st August 2022 until January 2023, while Cornerstone finalised the recruitment of a permanent successor, Belinda led Cornerstone as Interim CEO, reporting to the Board of Directors. She has been instrumental in leading programmes including our response to changes in the Code, which have transformed Cornerstone and the Tower industry in the UK. She is also responsible for all aspects of Legal, Compliance and Property and Estates, including new site acquisitions outside London and managing the relationship with landlords and other key site providers.
Belinda is a qualified lawyer and started her career as a commercial property lawyer in private practice before moving into the in-house environment focusing on the retail industry and the roll-out of large development projects. Belinda then moved into telecoms, working for H3G before moving to MBNL, the joint venture between 3 UK and EE.
CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER
Ginette Kilroy
Ginette joined Cornerstone in October 2016 and is responsible for the full employee life cycle, from attracting talent to retaining, developing, rewarding and supporting our people. Ginette brings a strong generalist background and specific expertise in leading change and people development.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Member of the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals, a graduate of Brunel University, has an MA in Human Resource Management from Buckingham Chilterns University, is a qualified coach and is an accredited test user in occupational personality and ability assessments.
Ginette previously worked in several Human Resource roles in organisations across various sectors, including Optical Retail, Water Industry, Card Processing, and Banking.
CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER
Roger Keenan
Roger joined Cornerstone as Chief Finance Officer in July 2019 and is responsible for the Leadership of the Finance and IT teams and the overall financial management of the company.
He has worked extensively across the telecommunications industry including mobile operators, fixed-line telephony and Internet Service Providers and across customer sectors from Consumer to Global corporate networks.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Roger was CFO & COO of Tesco Mobile during a period of rapid growth and maturing as a business to become the largest MVNO in the UK mobile market with more than 5m customers.
Professionally he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a qualified Electrical engineer.
CHIEF SALES AND COMMERCIAL OFFICER
Jamie Hayes
The Chief Sales and Commercial Officer at Cornerstone, Jamie drives the ambition for the business to be the guardian of all digital infrastructure for wireless customers, enterprises, government partnerships and communities across the UK.
Formerly Managing Director at Boldyn Networks UK he was responsible for the development of new capabilities, focussing on the fibre and streetscape business.
Prior to this, he led BT’s Enterprise – Wholesale mobile network operators segment, and spent time in global leadership roles at Ericsson in the US, Middle East and Europe.
He spends time outside work with three causes; Be the Business and One Million Mentors mentoring and coaching, and volunteering with YoungMinds a leading youth mental health charity.
His ITP Fellowship is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to the industry.
CHIEF CUSTOMER OFFICER
Miranda Van Gestel
Miranda brings a wealth of Brand, Marketing and Operations experience, with a deep passion for both customers and technology.
Her career began at Virgin, where she was part of the pioneering team that established the first MVNO, Virgin Mobile, in the UK and internationally. Her journey in telecoms continued with roles at Vodafone, Orange, and BT Global Services, where she led Customer Operations and BPO and served as Vice President of Service Operations.
Her career took her to the Middle East where she joined Aetna International, a division of CVS Health, the world’s largest healthcare solutions company, as Global Head of Marketing, Brand, Communications and Customer Experience.
After 10 years in Healthcare and Financial services, Miranda returned to the telecoms industry, joining Cornerstone in 2023. She leads the Customer Office, incorporating Brand, Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience.
CHIEF NETWORK OFFICER
Andy Train
Andy is the Chief Network Officer of Cornerstone Network. He was the founder of DAEL Telecom UK, building the business from a start-up to a group of companies over an eight year period, finally selling to Mitie PLC in 2021. As such, he was a founder of Mitie Telecoms and worked there from 2021-2023 until joining Cornerstone.
An engineer by trade with specific expertise in Power and Telecommunications rigging, he is a recognised specialist in special coverage and solutions with a passion for innovation. Andy has extensive experience in running large scale operations and delivering large rollout programs. His understanding of cellular technology brings a unique combination of particle field and executive level expertise to Cornerstone.
